# Configure External URLs

External URL is used to provide the additional information or context about the data being presented.

External URL in the chart is used for providing additional information related to the data, also to provide some related resource for reference and help to navigate to some websites or resources.

### **Steps to configure External URL:**

1. Add URL column to the **Display Categories** in the Format Pane

2. To apply changes to the URL, open **Advanced Editor**

3. In the Advance Editor pane, click on **Web URLs** to modify the Display settings and set the Icon
